Despite the increase in the size of smartphones screens, tablets are still popular in homes that host children. The equipment rate is skyrocketing: 22% in 2013, 46% in 2014 and now 62% in 2015. Most often, tablets belong to parents; but 14% of 1-6 year olds and 29% of 7-12 year olds and 13-19 year olds have their own equipment. Among other devices, 13-19 year-olds are particularly better off than the younger ones for the smartphone (68% vs. 12%), television (41% vs. 17%) and the computer (73% vs. 20%). The rate of personal computer equipment is also decreasing among 7 to 12 year olds. Young people ages 7 to 19 use their computers to watch videos, go on social networks and chat. They use their tablet to play games, listen to music and watch videos. Their smartphone allows you to listen to music, play games and go on social networks.

  1. This is really scaring ! My niece is 6 years old and she is better than on using an iPad for example.
Sometimes she gets angry at me because I’m too slow.
It’s like children were born with it
